Well, MCchad. Why did a Mediacom Sales Representative not follow thru? What is the story here?
1. Was I rejected because I was (mistakenly) sent a Tivo system in Sept 2014 because of your Telephone Rep not understanding me saying NO to a promo deal that was NOT going to save me $$$$. I still have your IM's on this matter...
2. Was I rejected because I have poor credit? I know this is not true as I bought a new car last month and checked my FICO score at 800+.
3. Is Mr. Greg Geyman truly an employee of Mediacom - or was this a scam of some kind?
4. Was this a bait n switch tactic? Was I offered a deal that Mediacom could not honor?
When your Mediacom Sales Rep (?) Mr, Geyman first visited me on April 24,2015 at my house he came uninvited. I had not contacted Mediacom for information on a TV Bundle since Sept 2014 when I asked you about TV Bundles thru an IM.
Mr. Geyman told me I was eligible for NEW customer promos even though I was an Internet only customer. He gave me a price list of all current promos, He also told me I was eligible for $20 off for a year because I was switching from Directv. Also NO installation costs. Price good for a year and the NO Commitment box was checked - NO 2 yr Contract.
All of this sounded too good to be true -- and apparently it was too good to be true.
I told Mr. Geyman I wanted the Elite Video/Internet package which was priced at $140 a month and minus the Directv switch and save discount would cost me $120 a month. Alas, Mr. Geyman told me that was for new customers only, in spite of the fact he first told me I could get New Customer promos.
After a long discussion I finally agreed to the Elite Triple Play package which would cost me $130 a month with the DTV discount, but would force me to get telephone service which I repeatedly told Mr Geyman I did not want. The Mediacom service order was made out for this Promo and yes I have a pink copy of it. The service order did not have the Taxes and Broadcast/Sport surcharges stated. I told Mr. Geyman I wanted to know exactly what my monthly costs would be and he assured me I would get a phone call from him with all information.
After I signed the Service order and Mr. Geyman left I never heard back from him in spite of emails to him.
Now MCchad I ask you: Is this the way Mediacom wants it's customers to be treated? Am I an exception or is this just your common way of doing business??
