The past few weeks we've noticed on quite a few HD channels with what I can only describe as color tearing, like a shadow with strange purple-colored pixels, on the bottom half of the picture and it's getting worse! I've seen it happening on most of the Discovery HD channels, Food, and Travel are the most common. It seems to be only happening on network content because when a local commercial, such as a Mediacom commercial is aired the tearing disappears. None of the local channels have this issue. Unknown if SD suffers this issue since we rarely watch anything on SD (Why?)
We've had issues on these channels before but with something different. I'm still trying to get a good capture (video and/or image). I know it's not anything on our end since it doesn't happen on all channels, just a few, and quits on local/non-network commercials, and happens on both of our TVs.
