hey guys i got internet/cable hooked up yesterday and things were working great until around 12:30am. internet has been down since, modem kept trying to reboot for hours on end. cable tv still works and my uncles mediacom internet is fine (3 blocks away). wife called tech support earlier and they ran her through the standard chekclist, and i have even swapped splitters w/o success. lol modem just now came back on (lit up like it's working) but i seriously doubt it stays that way. i've got the netgear cg3000d gateway, and last time i had this model i had nothing but problems until they swapped it with a cisco (which is still have but the account is bad and i forgot to send the damned thing in yet so i know i couldn't just use it) thanks for the read. any advice would help i know that there is no way to mess with the firmware on these (even tho there is a project out there, it is uncomplete)
