I've been living in my house for 3 years now. When I originally built it Mediacom came out and told me they would not run service to my house because the infrastructure needed wasn't worth it. There are now two houses and a third in the planning stages.
Mediacom came out this week and said this time there was no way they could physically get service to our lots because we are more than 500 feet from the main road.
The offer was made to either install the line as far as they can and leave it up to me to get it to the house, or pay for the installation between the three properties but I was informed they don't let any customers install any hardware.
Do I have any legitimate options for getting service to the properties or am I just out of luck? I have no other alternatives as Verizon doesn't even offer DSL in my area.
