Hello Chad,
I have had an issue going on for months now. I have had a half a dozen technicians come to my apartment and they still have not fixed the problem. Intermittently, my internet drops off for a period of seconds. This period is just long enough to disconnect me from any game that I am playing. I took a screenshot of this problem right after it happened while I was playing a game: http://imgur.com/a/T4kMO
I have an SB6141 Cable Modem and a Linksys WRT1900AC Router. Both are very high end. I've factory reset the router, but due to a security issue Firmware prevents me from factory resetting the cable modem.
Technicians have come tightened the fastenings, looked at 'the node', replaced cables, etc. Nothing fixes this problem. Occasionally the internet will slow down, but the biggest problem is the dropping off for a few seconds. This occurs every 2-10 minutes.
Please let me know if you can help, I have an appointment scheduled for this Saturday, which was the soonest they could schedule it, but it will just be another technician who is not familiar with the problem. He will leave and then it will happen again. I've not had the same tech twice. Is there ANYTHING I can do from my end? If this issue goes unresolved I will have no choice but to switch to DSL. I will miss the speeds, but I'll take a consistent turtle over a temperamental hare any day.
I will PM you my Account # when I get the chance, however I just registered so it tells me I have to wait 8 hours.
Thanks,
Alex Bruecken
