I think at some point we all need to get together and create a class and do something about the ridiculous usage meter. My cycle flipped at midnight and by 2:18AM the meter says I have used 48.6GB. That would have required me to have a sustained usage for the entire 2+ hours of at least 54Mbps. I do have 150Mbps service, but i've never had sustained throughput of over 40Mbps for an extended period of time. 54Mbps is like streaming 18 HD movies from Netflix simultaneously.
I think i've seen somewhere else where Chad has said something like because of the way the meter updates you might see usage from the previous cycle. That's not better. The customer facing meter needs to be exactly up to date for the current cycle, not carry over, and it needs to only represent data requested by the customer, not phantom data from the mediacom network.
