Hello,
I've recently moved in with my father, and we've been having consistently low speeds here. He upgraded to 100/20 Mbps, and are usually getting closer to 20-30 download but usually get around 20 Upload as well.
We're using a Thomson DCM476, connected to a Belkin F5D8233 Router, I tried hardwiring via ethernet to the modem, but I cannot obtain connection on my desktop to it, if I remember right, these modems only connect with a registered MAC address.
Here is a speedtest: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/5066904
Here are my signal details, right when I ran the speed test.
Cable Signal Details
Forward Path:
Channel Frequency Power SNR BER Modulation

2 111.0 MHz -10.7 dBmV 31.0 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
3 117.0 MHz -10.5 dBmV 37.1 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
4 123.0 MHz -10.5 dBmV 38.5 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
5 129.0 MHz -10.2 dBmV 38.2 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
6 147.0 MHz -10.2 dBmV 37.1 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
7 159.0 MHz -10.3 dBmV 37.6 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
8 165.0 MHz -10.6 dBmV 37.6 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
Return Path:
Channel ID Frequency Power Modulation
1 34.5 MHz 52.8 dBmV 64 QAM
2 28.0 MHz 49.3 dBmV 64 QAM
0 0.0 MHz 0.0 dBmV QPSK
0 0.0 MHz 0.0 dBmV QPSK
I'm finally getting around to trying to get it fixed, and would like some guidance on what I can try to do. Thanks!
