[AL] Two week wait for service technician

I live in Huntsville, AL and lost my Internet connection on Oct. 9. I am told by Mediacom support that they cannot get a technician to me before Nov. 2. This is completely unacceptable! What is actually happening with my service is that it will sometimes be working when I get home from work, but then disappears around 5-6pm or so, then occasionally reappears in the morning sometime. But I have not had working Internet any night for the past 10 days. I have an Arris Surfboard 6141 and the power light is on, but the download light blinks continuously and the upload light is off. Going to the management interface on the modem, the Status tab shows "Offline" for "Cable Modem Status" and "Not started" for all other entries. On the Signal tab, the "Bonding Channel Value" of all entries are blank.
