So as the subject states, for 2 weeks now, between 5:45pm-6:00pm, our connection goes from roughly 75-80 down with 10-15 up all the way to less than 0.5 up/down, and that's IF the speedtest actually completes but usually says it has been timed out and fails the upload test.
This has been an ongoing issue that started 4-5 months after we made the switch to Mediacom Internet which was about 4 years ago. Since then, connection bottoms out around the same time, every few weeks, and lasts for 4-5 days at a time. But phone support says the same thing each time. "Nothing wrong on our end, must be something on your end." Says something about signal noise causing the problem and schedules a tech. Naturally, tech is never here during the problem and so, never finds anything wrong, at least each time that's what we get told. Have asked multiple times to get a different modem in hopes that MAYBE that might help with something but never get one.
For the first time we are supposed to be getting our account credited for the problem. But still doesn't change the fact that the connection drops around the same time every afternoon and we have yet to get any actual explanation as to why it happens and why it keeps happening around the same time.
