Hi I called Mediacom today to set up a new modem and to upgrade to a faster speed, 100Mbps to 200Mbps. They set up the modem for me just fine, but they said they were having trouble upgrading my speed because of the new modem. They told me to go to my local office for help. So I went to the local Mediacom office, returned my old modem, and requested the upgrade. They said no problem and did the upgrade. They told me to unplug and replug the modem when I got him. I did this but I have no change in internet speed. Before the upgrade my speed was around 90Mbps, after the upgrade it is still 90Mbps. I don't want to pay more for the same speed. Please help me with this or downgrade me back to my old 100Mbps. My modem is my own and is brand new. It is on the list of approved Mediacom modems. It is an Arris Surfboard SB8200.
