*POTENTIAL* Fix to those with Mediacom Gigabit speed issues

I've had nothing but issues with Mediacom Gigabit service since August. I have had an ongoing thread as well. I just felt it was best to start a new thread (and hopefully have an admin sticky this). I would like to start off by saying I was consistently pulling 250Mbps - 300Mbps down on the best days. Now the upload speeds were always fine (in the 60's at the very least). After NUMEROUS Mediacom trouble calls, on site technicians all saying my signal was perfect, FCC complaints, etc I believe I may have found a pattern here. The maintenance supervisor brought out a laptop, booted into Mint Linux and BAM 900+ Mbps down no problem. My windows 10 machines were hitting 400Mbps (both of the machines) at this time. We were using the speed test via http://speedtest.mediacomtoday.com. One of the technicians suggested I run a tcp optimizer, which honestly I figured it was a cop out at first. I really didn't believe them! I took their advice and I ran a program called SG TCP Optimizer (It won't let me post the link in here due to a content warning but it's available for download via a website called SpeedGuide) on my desktop and lo and behold I jumped from up to a consistent 750 (and higher) download speeds on that machine. Now I spoke with another local individual. Same exact issue...They've been fighting for MONTHS with Mediacom, signals were perfect, etc. SSDD...They purchased their own modem, have had NUMEROUS tech visits as well, and they were back at square one each time. I just mentioned SG TCP Optimizer to them and asked for before after screenshots. Before they were pulling 170ish down...After..759 down! So that leads me to believe maybe just maybe there is something up with the networking speeds on Windows machines? Anyways if you are having this issue do you mind posting before/after screenshots with TCP optimizer and running the speed tests via http://speedtest.mediacomtoday.com? If this is indeed the workaround I would like to pull in MediacomChad and the legal team so they can send this up as a possible solution. I really hope this helps others that have been fighting with this FRUSTRATING issue! Make sure to run SG TCP Optimizer as an Administrator. There will be a slider bar on there...Make sure to set that to 100+Mbps and apply that. It may prompt for a reboot, but, I was returning much better bandwidth tests without rebooting YMMV
