I started having some Internet issues yesterday, but this post isn't about that. While troubleshooting my Internet connectivity issues with support, I checked my router logs. To my surprise I found numerous denial of service (DoS) attacks that made it through Mediacom's infrastructure and to my end user device. I would expect a large ISP to have the appropriate security devices in their network to identify and thwart such attacks on their customers. Am I expecting too much from Mediacom? Is there a department I can report this to, as I suspect this issue wouldn't be appropriate for the regular tech support line? Thanks in advance for your feedback and experiences.
