For a long time, when there was a weather warning, Mediacom would just briefly interrupt with, or maybe scroll across the bottom of the screen, a message directing the viewer to channel 22 for more information. This year they have changed it. Now there is a very long interruption in all programming, during which we get a horrible recording from the National Weather Service that lists everything that's going on, lists every county and city that may be affected, etc. It's awful. That is what local stations are for. Seriously, Mediacom viewers are going to be super PO'd with this. I'm a weather geek who loves to follow severe weather, but even I'm already getting upset with these ridiculous and insufferable interruptions. PLEASE go back to the way it used to be.
Edit: I just realized there is already a thread for this.
