[MO] Horrible Speed/Intermittent Signal - Excelsior Springs, Missouri

Greetings, all. I'm having a terrible time with bandwidth, and getting a usable speed at one of the addresses I have an account at. This location is appx 300' from a large junction box on the main road, and my address is the only one serviced from the drop, which is appx 230' from the junction box. Lately, speeds have been at times -1Mbps...we're talking 350k on a download. We have the Technicolor TC8717, and are using the integrated wifi routing. I have tried so many times to analyze the network, wired vs wifi, soft reset the router, etc. Nothing works, and when I wanted to log into the router to read the logs, I now find I'm unable to, and can't even do a full reset on the modem. This is all strange, because the other address I have service at is about 500' down the same road. We have totally different problems there, which consists of dropped signal, requiring a soft reboot of the modem. Here, I am using my personal netgear modem/router. For the third concern, I wanted to start service to another residence, which is maybe 30 from where the coax enters the first residence, and was told that it is too far from the drop. How is it that we can get service furthest down the road, and presumably others can as well, but not at the house that is actually closer to the junction box? There are no other infrastructure type hardware between the drop at the 1st, and closest to junction home, and my home, which is furthest away. I've lurked on this forum off and on for many years, and have seen MediacomChad give a level of customer support that far outweighs any that I ever receive over the phone. So I beg ye, kind sir, for assistance. Maybe starting with baseline the Technicolor, and graciously allow me access to the router settings. I have forgot the admin password I set...which is why not being able to do a full reset is so frustrating. I hope all of that makes sense. Thanks for any and all insight and advice that may follow.
