Related: https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r32317036-RANT-Opt-Out-Of-Junk-Mail-Permanently I call and post about it in March, and almost 6 months later, I STILL continue to receive junk mail from mediacom. There's probably been that many phone calls to them in as many months, even to "supervisors". And only through my own pushing, I "supposedly" have gone to the actual marketing department via(/within?) corporate. I can appreciate the marketing person having done her part as she has been able to evidence to me, but even 1 month after my first interaction with her, I still got another mailer. From my second interaction with her, she thought that I might get one more and should wait to contact until the end of September should another one come. Then I get an email stating that it could take 60-90 days for it to take effect. 3 MONTHS! That's also another 30 days added to what previous agents have mentioned. I think it began with an expectation of 30 days, then later on it went to 60 days, and now possibly 90 days. Frankly, I'm not even going to be surprised if I end up going a year GETTING mail, to try to get off the mailing list... FOR 1 YEAR! It's also odd that, her being in marketing, didn't know about the 1 year thing, yet the front agents and Chad all have made that claim. It's amazing having to have to go through so many people (it's got to be at the very bare minimum of 10), solely to get off a mailing list. Every time they said they would do it. I even was given a ticket number after they had to recreate a ticket because they couldn't find the original ticket. And even with that ticket # still with me, they STILL are unable to "see any updates" on the ticket, nor can anyone transfer me to anyone who somehow could see updates. It's truly unbelievable. You wouldn't think it would be a difficult thing to do, to NOT send someone something, but here we are. Chad, don't bother replying. The same goes for anyone who wants to say something along the lines of "just throw it away". You'll never understand it.
