1 :Problem: I recently bought my own SB8200 and had MediaCom support add it to my account. The process was fast and easy. They verified the modem had the correct configuration after enabling it. I soon noticed after the call that my speed tests where not showing proper upload speed. I normally burst above 50mbps and then settle around 50mbps which is the upload speed for my plan. I'm currently getting an average of about 10mbps on the MediaCom speed test @ http://speedtest-mobal.mediacomtoday.com/ MediaCom Speedtest result: https://i.imgur.com/yTnqMRU.png Note that the upload initially bursts a little higher, then slows down. Before switching away from the MediaCom provided modem, my speeds where solid on download and upload. I test a lot of routers and firewalls so part of the test is to verify routing speeds with iperf throughput and a speedtest from MediaCom to gauge real-world example of how a router handles such a test. Only now after switching to the SB8200 am I having issues with the upload speeds. 2. I ran these tests with my laptop hooked directly to the SB8200 via Ethernet. 3. A speed test from DSLR: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/55655686 This test shows the upload much closer to 50mbps. But it is the only place that I see this high of a speed test. I have gone down the list of speedtest sites at speedtest.net and consistently get less than 10mbps on my upload. I know that all speedtest.net sites will vary greatly for download speeds based on my path to each service. I see everything from 1gbps to 75mbps download speeds. That doesn't concern me. It's the consistently low upload speeds below 10mbps. I'd say the average is 5-7mbps fast.com result: https://i.imgur.com/6ijXQKh.png Ookla result: https://i.imgur.com/cQvwZyo.png 6. A Line Quality test: http://www.dslreports.com/pingtest/573363aab3c4/3530770?r=493 7. Using Windows 10 8. The upload speed is pretty consistent at or below 10mbps 9. Not running firewall or antivirus software on laptop. No hardware firewall for these tests. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
