Throughout August of this year, had problems with packetloss on upstream, and streaming to Twitch. Couldn't even really play online shooters.
4 service calls, and 4 weeks later. Drop, tap, ground block, etc all replaced each time. Maintenance came out to the area, and "fixed" the issue. We were very grateful.
Around the 23rd of October, we're experiencing the issue again. However pFsense is not showing packetloss, which is strange. Twitch streaming is basically a no go at this point. We can most of the time hold a connection to servers for Siege 6, etc.
Support this time around is very slow to get help from and scheduling calls this time around we're actually getting charged for. Shouldn't really be charged for it, however I need this fixed, so .. whatever.
First technician was extremely dismissive and didn't really want to even show up. Told me my modem was online and he didn't really need to show up. (I agree, its not likely something he could fix, let alone find an issue with) However, this needs to be fixed and I'm at a loss.
What can I do at this point. If I had hair, I'd be pulling it out.
Setup from DeMarc
8 feet of RG6 directly to Arris SB8200
pFSense box (Intel 4670k, 8Gigs, x2 Intel Gig NICs)
Netgear switches in various areas of house, all desktops are hardline Cat6
For testing, a desktop machine plugged directly to modem running upstream/Twitch @ 6000kbps (bypassing my network) shows unstable speeds/connection to Twitch ATL ingest servers.
