I have the basic boxes for cable service through Mediacom. The model number on the bottom says IPH3004HDM. The problem is that half the time I try to use the remote control on it, it takes forever to work or doesn't work. I've changed the batteries in the remote and the light on the remote comes on when I push the button, it just takes forever to actually do anything. Tonight I was trying to change the channel to the football game and literally sat there for five minutes pushing the button over and over on the remote before it finally changed. Is this typical of these boxes or do I have a bad one? My mom has the same boxes at her house and they seem like they take a while to actually work also, but not as bad as mine. It's so annoying. What can I do?
