Like the title states, is it possible to have multiple cable modems active at the same service address?
Does anyone know what the policy is for this? I've seen the same question proposed to other ISPs, but didn't find anything specifically for Mediacom.
Currently I have 1000/50 residential service, and looking for options to increase throughput; specifically upstream.
Mediacom business internet doesn't offer any service better than 1000/30 for my location, or I would look at that.
I'm aware I would be paying for each product (service), and my speeds wouldn't be doubled.
Plan would be to load balance dual 1000/50 connections, which should allow for greater throughput capacity.
Already have dedicated Xeon server running Pfsense (Intel NICs), and very familiar with networking & traffic routing.
Of course a few other things to consider is the average/peak utilization and load on CMTS, as well as signal levels with a 2nd coax drop to service address.
Any thoughts of feasibility? practicability?
