I live in Davenport, IA. I worked from home during the COVID quarantine months and had good service (1GB download service) that worked well with the VPN I had to use. A few weeks ago, I started having severe packet loss issues in the late evening time frame, this seemed to happen almost nightly. I've PM'ed with MediaComChad, I've called in regarding the issues (except for one bright spot when I called to have a box reattached to our house, your phone support is worthless and the majority of the agents rude). I'm sick of it being told it is my router's fault (it's not) and I'm sick of it being told it's my VPN's fault (it isn't) that my speeds are bad at night along with packet loss.
You have a signal issue in this area (and you did this fall/winter and did nothing about it) and are failing to actually find the root of the problem. Metronet has begun installation in the area and are laying fiber lines in my alley as we speak with installations starting in September. I don't WANT to switch, but Mediacom is giving me no choice due to your inability to keep the existing network that you have in the area healthy.
