I need some help with my internet. As many of you know most mediacom techs are useless and only know how to basic configurations such as restarting the internet. I know they are one of the worst ISPs but I want to see if y’all can help me out.
Months ago, I used to never lag on my PS4 and it was wired. Since August, I lag like crazy and I’ve even brought my nighthawk r7000 router to replace the arris modem we had and then used Mediacoms Hitron. For example, one day I was getting above 300-400 ms and 10% packet loss on modern war fare. I showed it to the tech yesterday and he didn’t care as he said, “if it’s not with our device it’s not our problem.”
They always do speed tests and check the signal and say it’s fine. So I played it wired to only their modem and had random lag spikes on the PS4 as well. FYI my ps4 doesn’t lag at all since I take it with me to home on the weekends.
I’m not really sure how to solve this annoying constant lag that I get all the time. We have 200 MBs and I upload video so on YouTube for Call of Duty. Mediacom threatens to charge for appointments because their techs again are useless. At this point, I know it’s not the routers or my ps4s fault
