I moved into a new apartment complex and I own my own modem. I connected my modem to the cable and the internet was working just fine. I went to my Mediacom office in person to let them know I changed addresses.
They told me I had to have a technician come out($49) or they would disconnect my service because if the address showed no technician having come out they would turn off the service when they ran their audits.
I did not ask for this technician to come out, it was forced upon me.
Now my internet is going out randomly after the technician has come by. I have already drive disconnecting my coax from my modem for about one minutes time. My modem is directly connected to the coax in my apartment and
I'm running a program on my PC called StarTrinity Continuous Speed Test. It is constantly connected and downloading/uploading 204Kbps 24/7 on my computer to a group of servers that run the same software. I set it up to try and catch all these disconnects. As you can see between the hours of 6pm and 11pm, my internet disconnected 7 times while I was awake and using it. It even disconnected three times in the middle of the night while I wasn't using it.

These random disconnects have been happening since the technician I didn't ask for came out. So I've been dealing with these random disconnects for almost a week.
