Thought I'd start/post this since it's fairly new and not really described in it's own topic.
It's a DCI401 http://www.technicolor.com/en/solutions-services/connected-home/set-top-boxes/cable-set-top-boxes/dci401 that's about 4" sq and 1" high. It provides all Mediacom "Family" cable TV channels in "HD" via HDMI to your HDTV, for $1.99/month. You will not see/get the guide/tv listings and you will not have access the music channels. The supplied remote is "RF" so you can hide the little box and the remote will still change channels. You will have to aim/point the remote towards your tv for volume & on/off. Setup was typical, waited 20 min, light on box was still blinking so I phoned in a "hit" and 3 min later, bingo it works. There's also a procedure to "link" the remote to the box, and a easy method to pair/mate the remote to your tv.
