Reset my owned SB6141 this afternoon, when it came back it started flashing 4 lights repeatedly...curious (and luckily so) I let it go through whatever hemmorage it was having to reset on its own. When it came back, saw the log:

SW download Successful - Via NMS
Cable Modem Reboot from Software upgrade
Sure enough, firmware was updated to a May 6 2013 build (old was March 2013). Surprised since mediacom refused to push firmware to these for quite a while ( noticed they changed that recently if a cust requested it). Obviously there is differing sides to if people want this to occur, but considering the sb6141 problems in some markets, I hope this was to help resolve some of those issues. Can someone from MC clarify if this is a policy change impacting all cust owned modems (proactive firmware updates) or simply to help repair issues with the 6141?
