Hello all, I have had Mediacom's always faster internet for around a year. I must say that they blow DSL out of the water. When I inititally signed up, I got Mediacom's 30mbit package. I recently noticed that they no longer offer the 30 and the 30 has been changed to 50... soooo I guess I'm on a 50/5 connection now?
I noticed my upload speeds are much higher but my download only gets to around 35mbit/sec (for a 50mbit connection, thats alot of overhead or theres something else wrong)... my modem is a few years old... is that why I'm not getting closer to 50?
Please reply ASAP. I have an old Arris telephony modem I got from Mediacom in 2010 or 2011.
