I just wasted a day trying to set up Windows Media Center TV program guide to work with a new HD Homerun Dual TV tuner. I receive 96 clear Qam channels which can be viewed on the computer but Mediacom in Albany, GA only 13 of those channels are capable of being seen in computer program guides. I spent a few dollars to get the software Guide Tool from 1Geek1Tool. Guide Tool has a button labeled "show only channels visible in guide". The result was the pathetic 13 channels most of which I never watch and will never need to schedule a recording in.
There is a thread titled "configuring windows media center to pick up digital stations" by chord123 of Cedar Falls, Iowa who also reports that only 13 channels are visible in his guide.
Mediacom, please solve this apparently long-standing problem. We are in a digital age and cable is in danger or dying as more and more people cut the cord and rely exclusively on the internet.
