Hi,
Ok, I guess first it is best to explain some back story to the situation. I have performed numerous calls to Mediacom Customer Service over the past 6 years to get the service extended to my neighborhood of 6 housing lots along .2 of a mile. I should mention that the direct street that our neighborhood runs off of has Mediacom service and we are a little "no service" hole in the area.
I was first told that our street would get service when we filled the neighborhood. In 2008, that was acceptable to me because I understood that the company wouldn't want to run cable to such a small neighborhood for 2 houses. So after 5 years, we had a house built on each lot. I began calling and I was told that once the final house had someone living in it, the process would get pushed further up the chain and we had a very good chance of getting service added. Well in July, that house was sold and moved into. I called up Mediacom and I was told that they would not add service because 6 houses did not justify the costs to run cable! I was a little taken aback after receiving promises from supervisors about this. I was told that in order for our neighborhood to be added, I would personally have to sign a 5 year contract to pay $300/month just to get service ran to the house. That is just absurd considering that I have 5 other homes that ALL want the service added. We are talking $150/month per house for service.
The question that I have is: Is there someway that I can get this properly looked at and reevaluated? I mean we are talking servicing 6 houses with only .2 miles of cable ran to the farthest house.
Thank you for reading this and please tell me you can help,
Brantman
