We have built a new home in Ames IA, but it seems that Mediacom ends service 427 feet away at a neighbors house in our subdivision, just at the corner. So far our serviceability requests have gone unanswered and calling to mediacom directly gets us directed to ask the local office on expansion plans(which they don't have access to) which results in the local office directing us back to call mediacom national 1-800-479-2082, or go through the website to request a serviceability survey request....which I know the results of already as the cabling end 427 feet away. The point seems to being missed as to what is the timetable or how is it possible to get mediacom cable extended from the corner of Hartford dr and springbrook dr to run down the length of our street, springbrook dr?
Any ideas on how to get cable installed to our home, or should I just bite the bullet and go with directtv?
Our subdivision of sunset ridge in Ames is still expanding and where our street is, springbrook dr, will be in the center of the development. I would have thought that mediacom would be enthusiastic in getting service continued to be extended in our subdivision development and not turn the area into a bastion of directv. The directv reps are out in force with promoting the nfl ticket and pricing come ons.
