I'm in Ames, IA.
1) For the past 2-3 weeks, Youtube has been very slow - constant buffering at 360p+, most of the time, the video wouldn't even start for 30 seconds. This happens mostly during peak hours. Two questions:
a) Is Mediacom shaping traffic to Youtube?
b) Is Mediacom doing something to resolve the traffic congestion issues?
2) I've been with Mediacom for over 13 years (since 2001.) My original account was unlimited 10/1. Then it became unlimited 15/2 something like 10 years ago. Now it seems to be 15/2, but its speed is more like 25/2 at night.
Here's the problem. It's now limited at 250GB per month. I go over that amount most of the time, and I have to watch my Youtube at 480p instead of 720p+ just to save data.
To be honest, I'd rather be back to 10-15/1-2 and unlimited instead.
Shouldn't Mediacom honor old grandfathered in plans in terms of data limit?
