Would Mediacom allow a residential client to purchase business fiber. Assuming the user would pay all the fees and such as if they were a business or if they claimed to be.

We have tried using the 800 number to order new service for the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum in North Judson Indiana. We get numerous excuses as to why this can't be done from your script readers. There never seems to be anyone at your Knox Indiana office to look at the install possibilities. One problem stated, is that you couldn't cross railroad tracks. We are a functioning railroad museum with trains and the tracks are ours. Power lines and telephone lines already cross these tracks. We are looking for phone and internet. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm 2000 ft from a mediacom line. Willing to pay to run line along with 5 other neighbors but mediacom won't give a quote. Say not serviceable. No other option but satellite. Anything I can do??

The past few months Mediacom is down after midnight for hours. Had to upgrade my phones data plan. Any Mediacom reps can tell me if this is just a permanent thing or will it be fixed soon? Paying for 200Mb and it sucks since I get home from work just in time to get a popup msg saying its going down for "scheduled maintenance" and rarely is up before the sun is.

Multiple Modems on same account possible?

Hi - I am wondering if it is possible to have 2 modems activated on the same HSD account via a splitter? I currently have my own Arris SB8200 modem and want to buy an Arris TM804G EMTA modem in order to use a phone. If it is possible, how do I get the phone modem baselined and a phone number assigned to my account? Thanks

My internet has been down for a week. Tried replacing the modem/router combo myself to no avail. "Not seeing the modem on our end". Next tech is a week out. So no internet for two weeks. Tonight the cable goes out. So no internet, now no cable. "Aware of a problem in the area" when I call to ask about the cable. Meanwhile I'm paying for both services I'm not receiving.

We have gigabit internet service and TiVo service in the same house, so as a result we are required to use Mediacom's gateway to get MOCA to work with DOCSIS 3.1. Until recently, I have been able to access the proper modem interface through the default 192.168.100.1 web link, but as of a week or two ago it began redirecting to a broken Mediacom link that never works, even when the internet is up (https://mediacom-prod.clearaccess.com/ etc.) which just says "Too many redirects" and loads in no browser. So now when the internet goes down I cannot view the logs, nor can I access the port forwarding features of the router (which I couldn't access even through the clearaccess page even if it were working) - What advantage is Mediacom gaining by preventing users from accessing the device they're forced into paying to use? I know this has been discussed repeatedly in the past and the end result is "get your own modem", but as I said, because of MOCA requirements for TiVo which is what Mediacom now offers for DVR service, that isn't a choice anymore.

I've had ping spikes and packet loss for the last several months, and no one seems to be able to fix it. The last tech came out on 3/1/18 and told me there was an issue in my neighborhood and to give them a few weeks to track it down. That same tech gave me a supervisor to call if it hadn't cleared up in a few weeks. I called the supervisor 3 weeks later, and he had no idea about any issue in my neighborhood. Gave me some line about one of the engineers was in town for the weekend and he'd have him look at it. Needless to say, I never heard anything back and am still having the same problems. I recently bought my own modem and router(Netgear CM500 & Netgear R6700) to see if it was just a bad rented gateway, but no luck. I've tested with Wifi and ethernet, neither matters. The packet loss and spikes are on both connections, and on multiple machines. I've taken the rented gateway outside and completely bypassed my interior wiring and the problems still persist. I have yet to take the CM500 outside and bypass the interior wiring. I'll probably do that tomorrow. Here's a WinMTR from a Discord channel I'm connected to every day. If I watch the ping, I can see it spike to 600ms+ for a few seconds, then back down to 50ms. Ok so I had a promo bundle that included 1gbps internet and the modem was included. That promo ran out and they started charging me for the modem. Perfect time to buy myself a D3.1 Modem. So I did. And all is well. I go to return the modem and they refuse to let me return the modem unless I buy the moca injector from them first since they say it is impossible for my TiVo services to work without it or their modem. My mediacom modem has been baselined for maybe as long as a year and no problems. The lady at the office claimed it would stop working eventually. What? So i explained to her that i have been using TiVo services without the moca in the modem for a long time and she basically called me a liar. I have never been as frustrated as I was after this experience. How do I return the modem and stop getting charged $10 a month?

[KS] Daily afternoon disconnects, T3 & T4 timeouts, high signal errors

For the past week or two now I've had frequent disconnections every afternoon due to T3 & T4 timeouts. It's typically fine at nighttime from maybe 10PM up until 9AMish when it starts happening again. Thought maybe it was my SB6121 modem so I swapped it out today with my SB6141 and the issue remains. On both modems, my Correctable and Uncorrectable Codeword counts on channel 1 and channel 2 are quite a bit higher than the others, on top of already being way higher than they should be. Hoping a Mediacom employee can check and see if there's something going on in the Baldwin City KS/Edgerton KS area or it's just my line. [IA] Intermittent drops even though signal levels are good

I have been long experiencing intermittent drops on our internet and phone service ranging anywhere from 1 or 2 minutes to 20 minutes or more. This happens anywhere for half a dozen to 15 or more times a day. I recently bought my own Arris TM822G hoping that would solve the problem (while saving money). It has not helped. My signal levels always check in the proper range for both down and up and SNR is good at about 37 to 38 dB on all channels. Upstream power is 43.5, 44 and 45 dBmV. During a phone call with our son today, the phone line went dead twice. We could hear him but he could not hear us. Both times, an Internet Connectivity Monitor (ICM) that I often run logged internet drops at exactly the same time. Likewise, the Event Log of my modem has entries indicating some kind of error at the same 2 times. I have saved those logs for review, noting the phone call drops. I assume this is some kind of neighborhood problem or a problem at the pole. I have Mediacom internet and phone service at my business and rarely have problems - always connected with more widespread problems. BTW, while writing this, my ICM logged two drops of at least a minute long.

Approximately 6 days ago began to experience the occasional drop in connection that would last no longer than 15-20 minutes. Wasn't too concerned because when it would come back, speedtests came back perfectly normal. Three days ago, phone/internet dropped completely and has yet to come back. Called tech support the same day that happened. Explained that I've already gone through the house to make sure that all coupler(s) were secure, had already power cycled the modem several times(unplugged power cord disconnected coax as well each time), and also informed them that 2 of my neighbors are having the same/similar problem. Support schedules a tech visit for the 31st. Today I remember I forgot to take the modem outside and connect it directly to the line coming straight from the pole, so I did that, but to no avail. Will upload screenshot of event log. Modem: Hitron(built-in MOCA) - Hardware Version: 1A - Software Version: 4.5.11.30 When I was able to access the modem, there were no signal levels to be found. There is no router being used. Called shortly after connecting modem outside to let them know I had done so hoping, well, not really sure what I was hoping for. All I know is the tech said that he couldn't communicate with the modem so he had no idea what was wrong, even after I gave him the run down of the event log. high upstream levels

so for the last 3 weeks my modem has been resetting itself about 5 times a day. I notices my upstream levels are reaching 52-54 db and I had a technician out here already and told him that, he didn't actually do anything but take some filter off the line he said. whats the fix?

[GA] Intermittent Slow speeds and high latency

As described, I have been seeing some intermittent slow speeds and high latency in Valdosta, GA the past few days. Full disclosure, I have a baselined modem, using my own router, open DNS, and frequent use of work VPN Luckily the speeds are not so low as to interfere with work, but the latency is annoying for games, and the lower download is annoying for streaming on the multiple devices in the home. From our ebilling page, I do have a service advisory stating that there may be issues in the area.
