I signed onto a 2 year fixed price contract and Mediacom raised my price anyway on the second year. I couldn't find my contract at the time and they basically told me I was SOL. I was under contract so I couldn't cancel and they claimed to investigate and tell me that my contract was a step up and that my rate would go up the second year. I knew what I had signed, but without the document I couldn't do much. I was going through some stuff lately and came across my original contract and there definitely was not a step up contract. Anyway I took my copy into my local Mediacom office and they were going to look into it. I went back to the office 2-3 weeks later and they there was no progress. Now it's been over a month from my original dispute and still nothing. It's getting a little ridiculous for what should be a rather simple issue, not to mention that they originally lied about my contract to me after "looking into it." And from what I've heard I'm not the only one that's had this happen to them. I was hoping to add service to a second address, but I'm looking more toward dish and century link at the moment.
