Just FYI. I was on the 150mb service prior to using my own modem and ordered this service on Wednesday. The new modem arrived 'next day' yesterday, tech was out this morning to install. It went fine, no noise on my lines and all is well inside but I can only get download speeds of 500 and nothing more. My up speed won't break 25. Make me wonder if I am provisioned correctly still. Tech did say he had gone as far as he was able and it would need to be fixed outside down the line somewhere. I did receive a call from a Mediacom guy in NY saying they would be out Monday in the neighborhood and look at equipment on the poles to see what the problem is to get me to their full 1Gb (or close).
Just wanted to share my experience to this point.
