Hi, We recently (2-3 months ago) changed our Mediacom service to just internet, as we hadn't watched TV in months.
We were told there would be a tech come out and pick up our tv box and put in a new internet modem. The tech didn't come out either scheduled day, but our billing has reflected the change to just internet.
The problem we have had is that in the last few weeks, some of our devices don't see the wifi from our router (Belkin F9k1110v) at all, and one sees it but can't connect. My old iphone 4 sees and connects, a couple of android phones connect just fine, and the three desktop computers that we previously connected have no problem. The non-connecting/finding devices are an android tablet (RCA) and an Amazon Fire tablet. The RCA tablet connected up until recently but now doesn't find the router at all. The non-connecting/but finding device is a win10 HP laptop that was connecting until the same time as the RCA.
Is this a problem that would be solved with the modem change, or is my router now the culprit?
