Just ordered Gig service after Mediacom contractors installed new cabling in our neighborhood. Brand new tap/pedestal, newish untouched 3 year old coax in house. Not working, at all.
Received a technicolor 4400. I have a solid modem power light and a solid DS light, with a blinking US light and the rest are dim. Installer (contractor) could not figure it out ... tried three other modems (non-gig) and couldn't get anything either. Tech said something about "Internet service is not enabled in my area" ... as the HDTV receiver works fine and is receiving signal/channels with no issue.
Tech tried direct from pedestal in the front yard with no splitters ... still no luck to the Technicolor 4400 or any of the other three (non-gig) modems he tried. He said he would have to call "maintenance" to get it resolved. Also said signal looked fine (with a tool he was using) even when split once.
Screen cap of my Technicolor status screen is attached. Any ideas/any help here? Not getting a good first impression here...
For the screen cap: everything below the cutoff is 0 as well.
