I was a long time Apple user on AT&T and never had trouble. I got the new Samsung 8+ and ended up with no signal from home. They said my area is supposed to be set to WiFi calling. I was dumped repeatedly. Called tech support like 6 times and was disconnected from them many times. They then said its my ISP not providing a stable signal. I called Mediacom and the tech said signal looks odd and they will send a tech and call me personally within 72 hours and tell me whats up. Never got a call. Called AT&T again and of course it was out of window to return phone and its not their fault my ISP cannot maintain a phone call. I told them its the whole reason I never got Mediacom phone because when the internet has troubles I can not call and anyone.
It had seemed to have gotten better but then I had an important phone call and was disconnected 5 times. I start phone calls from home with "we might get disconnected". I even drop just going into the bathroom that has 5 bars Wifi. Matter of fact most disconnects I have full WiFi bars.
I use ac68u with merlin firmware. And the SB6183. Its gotten to the point my wife laughs and says aren't you happy you got that Samsung junk phone.
Oh, and the AT&T has changed sim cards twice also. I asked for a Microcell but they said since ISP is junk it will not help.
Also been told I am welcome to buy anther Iphone and toss my new Samsung.
