I moved to Albany, GA and started my internet services with mediacom since June of this year. I am using a Hitron modem that I am renting from mediacom. Throughout my time here my internet would lose connection randomly, but would restore itself within a couple minutes. It didn't bother me until it became more regular to where I can't stream an episode on Netflix or video chat without at least one interruption. I've called mediacom and used the automated reset instructions when my internet went down for more than 10 minutes about a month ago. However, it will still keep going in and out where I currently do not have internet access even after restarting my cable box and modem. I am currently using my verizon cell phone data. Any thoughts?
Update: I called mediacom and they said they would need a technician to check it out. They wont be available until next Saturday. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
