I upgraded to the 500mbps package about a month ago, and just started experiencing slow download speeds, and huge ping spikes. My download rate just shows at 90mbps on speedtest.net, and I have a link to my ping spikes below. If there is any other info needed please let me know...

[FL] 1GIG and SB8200 problems
New to 1gig service with SB8200 modem. Have had problems getting connected to 3.1. First a tech swapped out modem and left. still no 3.1 connection only 3.0. Second tech checked line connection and confirmed no 3.1 service. He then climbed the pole and reconnected to the line for 3.1. After rebooting modem I got connected to 3.1 down. The SB 8200 has lights for download and upload indicating 3.0 or 3.1 connections. Mine indicate download 3.1 and upload 3.0. my connection stats are attached. any help you can provide will be appreciated.

So I work for a guy who has a reseller agreement with Mediacom and he informed me that on April 1st NEW Business speeds are launching.
Could Chad, or BAINCH confirm?
I heard 20/2 is going to 60/5
50/5 100/10
105/20 300/20

[IA] Mediacom having issues from the past week
The upload speed is next to nothing. Website are not responding like they normally do. Speed test on any testing websites shows a latency error while testing uploading speed.
The modem signals are fine. Equipment at home checks out. The issue comes and goes often throughout the day.

New Speedtest
So I went to go check my speeds and the speedtest has changed and the speeds are terrible from it. What happened to the old one?

[IL] 1 Gig internet continues to drop throughout the day
I have the 1 Gig internet and it was good at first ( no where near 1 gig speeds) then it starts dropping internet throughout the day. Mediacom tech came out and replaced all the coax said there was a little noise on the lines; tech leaves 30 mins later the drops continue. Called mediacom back and waited a week for another tech he shows up today for 20 mins said the coax to the back of the router was "a little loose." Shows me a graph where our single spikes in the red on his graph every 4 hours but the "outside network is good" He leaves and the drops continue. I've replaced the modem, moca box, bypassed the wifi router for a few days and the drops still come. The tech did tell me today "we cant charge you today since its within 30 days of last visit and if you call again that's not good because it hits our bonus and wallet. Not sure why he told me that i really dont care i just want me internet fixed. Any help or ideas on a fix is appreciated

[MN] Billing Question
Hi - I just upgraded to 1 Gig Internet service. When discussing the upgrade with customer service, I also ordered single-room Tivo with the local TV package in order to make it cheaper. I see on the new charges list of the bill that I am being charged for the modem rental fee (I have my own modem), the phone service fee (which I did not want and was never discussed), and the E911 fee. Can these charges be removed from my account? This would save my about $19 a month.
Thanks,

[MN] Possible Arris SB8200 Modem Issue
I just upgraded to the 1 Gig internet service and my download speeds have topped out at about 550 Mbps. I have tried connecting 2 different pc's via wired ethernet (Cat 6a) both with internal nics connecting at 1 Gbps directly to my modem (an Arris SB 8200) (and rebooted the modem both times) and don't get any more speed then that. My modem status page shows the below for the OFDM channel -
200 Locked Other 261000000 Hz -0.9 dBmV 36.8 dB 2647855 25
Also getting this error in the modem event log
Critical(3) "SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing;;CM-MAC=XX;XX:XX:XX CMTS-MAC=00:00:00:00:00:00;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1
Is it possible that the OFDM channel was never turned on at the node? See this thread - https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r31242822-Arris-SB8200?search=sb8200%20

[Cable TV] Iowa City-ESPN & ESPN2 (830 & 831) DEAD NO Pic or Sound
I have a DVR & 2 HD boxes, and both channels are dead, just a black/ blank screen & no audio. All other channels seem OK.
ADDED An automated “hit” to the boxes fixed the problem. And it took only about 3 min on the phone. :)
I had visions of the heavy wet snow (6”) & wind took out a large 8’ dish antenna, if Mediacom still uses any of those anymore.

[MO] Tivo not working
I'm new to Mediacom service as of last week. Yesterday I installed my own Netgear Nighhawk which had been recommended by several folks at Mediacom, and I had them "turn off" my Mediacom router. I didn't notice it immediately, but later realized my Tivo service was messed up and the boxes were not talking to each other. I've got live TV on 3 of my 5 TVs. Tech support really couldn't fix it, and are sending a tech tomorrow. I'm just really curious to see if anyone has any ideas on what is going on? I'd really like to continue using my own router and I'm hoping that isn't the issue. Any thoughts are appreciated!

[MO] Cable and Homerun Prime issue Springfield MO 65807
Cable and Homerun Prime issue Springfield MO 65807
I have 2 homerun prime boxes. Last night after 10:00pm I noticed problems with a recording error. Status on one of the boxes showed the following:
Card Authentication success
Card OOB Lock weak
Card Validation success
The other box showed same as above except but with OOB success:
Card Authentication success
Card OOB Lock success
Card Validation success
Now this morning at around 10:23 am three recordings stopped and both boxes are showing (OOB Lock weak) :
Card Authentication success
Card OOB Lock weak
Card Validation success
I have turned on/off homerun primes and rebooted my network, but 'OOB Lock weak' message above remains on both boxes. I rescanned channels on both boxes and they detected 263 channels each. I don't think the problem is on my end. I haven't changed anything on my end. Can you look into and maybe start with pinging by homerun prime boxes?
Let me know how I can supply you with information you need to do this. I haven't had any real problems since I originally set these homerun prime boxes up several years ago.
Thanks.
Below is from one of homerun primes tuner status display and looks normal, but the OOB Lock weak status above is something I never remember seeing before.

[IL] New modem/upgraded internet help
Hey. I just got upgraded to the gig internet, which required a new modem. I have a pretty fancy router that I want to continue to use. I remember last time I got a new modem, I had to contact support and have them change it to bridge mode (I think that's what it was called?). 'Cause I was having issues with it playing nice with my actual router.
I asked the guys here for the install if I needed to do that again, and they said no. I wanted to be sure that was correct. They told me the wireless was totally off on the mediacom modem, but I don't think that's true, 'cause I see it on my network lists. I've also been having some really short drops in my connection, which I believe is the issue I was having before. I literally just got in less than a half hour ago, so might just be working itself out. But, I wanted to check and be sure changes didn't need to be made again. Thanks for any help.

[MN] Default Gateway
Hello all, I just had service installed yesterday in my new house. I set up my work computer, which I normally VPN into and access the server there. My problem is that the default gateway is the same as the internal ip for the work server so nothing will connect. Is there a way to change the default one from 192.168.0.1 on Mediacom's modem/router? I've tried going into the settings myself but only system status information is visible.
The modem is Technicolor CGM4231

Mediacom 1GB half the speeds or less again
It was working great for a while then all of a sudden it's back to under 300. I called and they ended up sending a tech out. Checked levels and all was good replaced the splitter as well and it was still way low. They brought in a Samsung modem hooked that up and all of a sudden back to 900 range. They thought my SP 8200 was not locking some channels so I'm guessing OFDM lock. So I kept that modem and later on it was back down to under 300 again. I power cycled it and checked the connections and it was back over 900 but then 5 minutes later back to under 300. So not sure what the deal is and it's obviously not my SB 8200. The techs are gone now so not sure what the deal is.

I'm not here to crack on anyone, but i just had the WiFi 360 installed at my house, and its not worked since the guy left yesterday. Nothing can connect to them. I've gone as far as factory resetting the things, setting them back up, but still to the point that nothing can connect to them. Anyone have any advice or help available?? Hitron model HT-EMN2

[IA] Bridge mode Ubee DVW32CB, 1 GB/s internet
End question: does Mediacom have a 1GB/s modem only Docsis 3.1 Hardware? I'm having Double NAT issues and my current router/modem won't issue an IP to my Netgear Orbi.
I have always struggled getting anywhere near my 1GB/s speeds. I have called in to have the "Home Networking" feature removed from my account so that I can use my own router in bridge mode and avoid Double NAT issues. After setting the modem to bridge mode I have been unable to get my Netgear Orbi router to get an IP address from the modem. I put the Orbi in AP mode for the time being, however, my speeds have dropped dramatically using these settings (best I can get on wifi is 60mb/s on 5Ghz where with double NAT issues I get.

[GA] Askey TCG310 modem bridging on new installation
I recently switched my service from AT&T and a Askey TCG310 modem was installed which handles internet, phone and MOCA service. Previously, I have been using a AT&T modem which was "bridged" to my ASUS RT-AC87R router which handled my wireless and ethernet service admirably as I have a large wireless coverage area. Can I do the same with the Mediacom modem?
