I've had mediacom for the past 10+ years and I haven't had many issues prior to the last 6 months to a year.
Anytime during prime time hours (5pm to 11pm cst) I can't play any of the games I've been able to in the past ex. CS:GO and many others without experiencing many interruptions.
I recently had a tech come out and check my line quality and my modem which he said there wasn't any issues other than high usage during these times for my area. He did replace my router/modem combo which was provided by Mediacom to a newer model. Which hasn't helped at all.
I've tried different Ethernet chords, moving the modem to a different outlet etc
The tech said that this issue is from Mediacom's end and they would have to "rebuild the node" for the usage in the area (I'm right next to a college)
I don't know what else to do, Mediacom is the only viable option in my city and until this issue is resolved I'm extremely unhappy.
