With some bad storms roll through here today and Mediacom reported a widespread outage. I got a message saying service was restored but we are still down. I got a customer service rep to call me and they told me that the issue was with my modem that I had changed the setting somehow and they would need to send a technician next Tuesday. I submitted a request for a second callback and while I was waiting everything came up. Now my internet has dropped again. keep in mind that during all of this my modem lights are all on and when I connect directly to the modem all of the signal levels look great. Connected to the modem directly I still can't get on the internet, but Mediacom claims everything is up and running great. Everything outside of my house that is. they're still claiming that there's a problem inside my house even though my modem shows that it's connected.
Has anyone else had a similar experience recently?
